So what is The Arrangement?
The Arrangement is a floristry workshop with a twist. Each event is hosted in a different bar or club space, with a fully licensed bar, serving delicious wine and cocktails. While a lineup of the coolest, local, female DJ's provide a disco... so we can bouquet and boogie! For Mothers Day this year we will be in Liverpool.
Where did the idea come from?
I just love having fresh flowers in my house. As a little treat for cleaning it. I'll always have a little dance as I'm filling my vases and making little arrangements for different rooms. It's my favourite activity! And one of my good friends Anna is a Florist, Mary Mary Florals. She works tirelessly delivering loads of small workshops, especially round Christmas. And we've always talked about how cool it would be to do one big workshop and make it a party.
So it’s like Wreath making but with flowers?
Exactly! Our first event was a hand tie workshop. This next event will be a flower jar. For summer I'd love to do a flower crown workshop. And the autumn will be wreath making.
At each event, Mary Mary Florals will show you how to create a beautiful arrangement in their signature style. Using a seasonal mix of stems.
You’ll learn all about conditioning your flowers, and spiralling your stems as well as wrapping. To create a bouquet, a professional would be proud of.
Mary Mary Florals will guide you and share with you, the style, methods and techniques, that made them famous…. While you sip delicious drinks and boogie to some bangers.
Then afterwards, you get to skip on home with your arrangement.
Every event is suitable for beginners.
What’s the purpose behind The Arrangement?
It's just something to do, really. People are looking for fun ways to relax and spend their free time. Each event is educational, fun, social and generally high vibes! People come with friends, family members and lots of people come alone. By the end of the workshop, you're best friends with everyone on your table and lots of people go out for food and/or drinks with their new friends afterwards.
What's next for The Arrangement?
We hope to do a huge wreath making event in somewhere grand, like Liverpool's St George's Hall, around Christmas. Imagine how fun that would be?
